I saw a midnight showing of the new Harry Potter movie. It was a special showing organized by the town library in the town my wife is the school librarian. Get that? Who would have thought that this was a perk from being married to a librarian? As it turns out, special movie showings are a perk in some other organizations. Kevin Schofield who works in Microsoft Research went to a showing that was run for his division at Microsoft. His mini-review is at his blog. I'm still too tired to write one of my own. I was home at 3AM and it is now 6:40 AM and I have to get going to visit a local high school to talk about careers in computer science. Short night, early day. At least it's Friday!
BTW Kevin was the first person I discussed the last book with. He and I both finished it before any of my local friends and family finished it. If you've read the last book you can probably imagine why I felt the need to talk to someone. :-)
