Time to clean the office

I really love a nice neat office. I've never managed to keep an office nice and neat for very long though. I don't know what it is. Some of it is the result of coming home from trips with a lot of things and not having enough time to really put them in order before I go away again. Some of it is me putting things in a nice pile (well they start nice) so that I can get to them later. And then later doesn't seem to come.

Today my wife told me that if I didn't clean up my office (and do it well) she was going to clean it. Of course that would mean everything goes in boxes and a) I'd never be able to find anything and b) I'd have to go through the boxes one day anyway. It would almost have been worth it. I've spent the last two hours cleaning things up and I'm making progress. I've got one more hour before my wife comes home from teaching her night course. Hopefully she'll see the progress as enough. I'm actually getting excited about having some room to get things done too.

I also love a neat office, and just cleaned mine up today! I like to clean it up weekly, so things are well organized, but I always have a stack of things I'm supposed to be looking at.

Yay for having room to get things done! And worst case, you'll have even more room when your wife tosses the rest of your crap into boxes! :-)

I know the feeling...my mum used to be the same with my study materials and books...threaten to throw them in a box...and, subsequently you cant find that report you were working on from that morning :). Although the end result is fantastic...alot more room as you said

Sometimes I wonder if we trade our beloved Mother for girlfriends and wife. Sometimes they behave the same way *woah* ... Incoming ... *duck*

I can see some female folks throwing knifes at me now.
