Being fond of geography and travelling. I find myself comparing different countries all the time. Now being a participant in the algorithm invitational. I couldn't help making some statistics about the leader board that I think every one would love to see. I spotted the number of contestants from each country on the leader board and found them as follows: ((--Argentina 2 -- Austria 3 -- Australia 2 -- Brazil 4 -- Canada 6 -- Switzerland 1 -- China 37 -- Germany 15 -- Ecuador 1 -- France 6 -- Greece 1 -- Hong Kong SAR 2 -- Hungary 5 -- Indonesia 2 -- India 4 -- Italy 4 -- Japan 27 -- Korea 4 -- Lithuania 5 -- Latvia 3 -- Mexico 1 -- Netherlands 1 -- Norway 1 -- Peru 1 -- Poland 19 -- Romania 9 -- Russia 5 -- Singapore 1 -- Slovakia 1 -- Thailand 1 -- Tunisia 1 -- Turkey 1 -- United Kingdom 2 -- United States 14 -- Viet Nam 4 -- Serbia and Montenegro 3 --)) One interesting thing I noticed is that China comes the first in number and quality as well ... the leaderboard leader is from China (Let's give him a big hand :D). Furthermore, several of the toppers are from China, too. Remarkable numbers are seen in China, Japan, Poland, Germany and USA. Of the most significant countries on the board comes Viet Nam with only 4 leaders. However, they are all above the 50th and three of them are real toppers. I really like viewing the leader board.
