.NET - You dun love me anymore?
Sorry to be a whinger being first blog of the morning.
Monday: Had a dicussion with my supervisor about my project, fired up VS 03 --> VB.NET, and the controls took AGES to render on the form designer and even longer to compile. Mind you the form has only 1 button and 1 label --> Hello World kinda app.
Tue: Wanted to write a sample mobile app on my laptop for my students. But IIS cannot create the virtual directory. Ran a http://localhost, got a less than helpful 500 error. Come on, HTTP 500, server side can be anything. Server log wasnt helpful. Spend a good quater of the afternoon trying to get IIS to work with VS. Stuff like aspnet_regiis.exe and all those regsvr32 to register the aspnet_isapi.dll. Time wasted, problem no fixed.
Wed: Window form designer renders like a Pentium 2! I got no patience for this kinda shit. Days like this, I wished I had swap my P3 with my sis's P4 when she suggested and threw away this P3.
