What do I want to do?
This evening I was browsing in some Nordic universities web sites and a Clayton academic web site. I was thinking that it would be nice if I could do a semester in Norway or Finland.
However I doubt it cos the Australia government would not issue me a student visa if Im not enrolled in a full time course. But I will be finishing my honours this semester.
I am just reflecting on my current lifestyle and I am very happy with it. I really enjoy the campus lifestyle and be surrounded with so much knowledge. Not just IT, but everything. I am a news and knowledge junkie. I want to know as much as possible.
Teaching is not too bad, but ... to be an academic ie I need to do formal serious IT research ... mmm Its not easy to balance research and teaching commitments.
Honestly I have not discovered my core IT research field. Scary man, I have attended so many IT research seminars and did a few IT research papers but still ... havent found my niche :P Well ... Im generally interested in .NET web and mobility related stuff.
