Is IT a Young Person's Game?
There have been a lot of media discussion about the quality and quantity of fathers' involvement in their family esp with their young children.
One statement made in this article ("Father time" - The Age), a father working in the IT industry commented, "IT is a young person's game. I am actually always worried about keeping my job. We're in the middle of our mortgage and the girls aren't in secondary school yet."
How scary it is to be working in this sort of environment. While we are still young, we want to do our best for our profession. Likewise, one would expect a level of loyalty and support from the profession when one person decides to start/have a family a few years down the road. What scares me is the companies we are walking for are staffed by humans ... how come companies cannot related to another human being?
I am turning 25 this year ... I dun want to have a family/get married when Im like ... what 36 ... no way mate.
Back to information retrieval revision. Gyming in the afternoon.
