1.39am in B3.50 - Honours Room

Finally theSpoke have included a direct button to attach emoticons ... hey .. they dun work on mine .. grrrr

Its 1.39am, what is Bernard up to? Ever since the semester approaches towards a conclusion, my sleeping patterns and gym timings have been severly tested.

Anyway, what have I done today?

1. Reflected upon an assembly and extract its namespace and update it to an ini file during runtime. I learnt how to KILL files and move them around MOVE them around with the opportunity to rename files togather. Updating just a portion of a file, is rather annoying. Wasted a while trying to get the algo right for my ini file.

2. Arrays ... same same but different. I was looking at some reflection examples and kept trying to figure out why my array of Types from GetTypes are not going into my Types array. After awhile, I realised that I have declared the array with []!!! Arrays are declared with () in VB. See! Same same but different. VB and C# does not make a difference to me when I read them but when I just replicated it on my VB project.

3. Messed around with Types, Base Types, getTypes, Assembly and a lot of time searching for a comprehensive list of Types.

Its 1.47am ... Im going home now.

Supervisor's meeting at 11.15am.

Looking forward to the meeting actually. My supervisor is quite programmatically active even with her stature. She's quite familiar with the various Types related methods. But ah! The algo she suggested tried to compare a Type with a FieldInfo. How can! Anyway, it should be fun. Although, I dun know how I have to break to her news that I might have misplace a chapter draft we have worked on ... I have the soft copy but I think I might have misplaced the edited copy.

Ohhh ... God, please dun let Christine kill or "disown/ give up on me" ...

1.50am ... time to get out of office and head home.

Good night people or good morning by the time you read this.
