An Interview with Long Zheng, Presenter - Student Day

Student Day (Aug 21) and Tech.Ed (Aug 22-25) are happening next week and finally I will have a chance to meet and work along side with my new friend – Long Zheng. Long is co-presenter with Frank Arrigo on Office 2007 on Student Day. We have been IM-ing and emailing each other for a few weeks now.

---

Berno: Hey Long, let's give this blog readers a short introduction about yourself – who are you and what you do?

Long: My name is Long, 18, Male, and I'm a techno-a-holic. I'm a second-year Monash University student and an amateur technology blogger. I evangelise about the company that makes Windows, you know, the one that has more market share than Mac OS X and Linux. I can never remember the name.

Berno: Do you consider yourself a geek? What is the geekest thing you have ever done?

Long: I'm definetely a geek, but far from the stereotypical geek. Everything stupid happens when we're young, so it's the same for me. The geekiest thing was when I first learned about web design, I used Frontpage and Geocities. Let's just say, marquee text and frames were popular back then. Thankfully, I've removed all traces of my past existance.

Berno: Student Day is all happening next week! After seeing all your cool online videos (the proper Microsoft ones, I don't mean those home made ones with Paris on YouTube), can you give us a preview of what you will be presenting on? What makes you all excited about Student Day?

Long: You saw the Paris videos? Damn, I told Paris not to upload them. Anyway, Student Day is definetely happening next week! You should know, since you're organising it. In terms of what I'm going to be presenting on, Frank and I have absolutely no idea. We'll make up something on-the-spot, but it'll definetely show everything cool about Office 2007 and how it will impact students and the way they work. That's if I don't get stage fright and collapse. Besides our presentation, I'm excited about Student Day because it's great opportunity for students all around the country to experience the latest in technology for free! Don't forget the freebies!

Berno: So what is the number #1 thing you want to experience at Tech.Ed?

Long: A warm and fuzzy feeling.

Berno: Have a safe and pleasant flight on Monday, matey! See you at Student Day-Tech.Ed!

Long: Monday? Crap. I have to go pack my bags. Toodles!

Hehe, very funny... It remembers me Rory's style of answers :-) (http://neopoleon.com/home). Long must be an interesting person :-) Good luck at Student day to both!
