theSpoke Users: Upgrade to IE7 with Confidence Today!

I remembered back in those days of IE7 Beta 1, theSpoke can barely been used with Internet Explorer 7 (IE7). It was rather aweful user experience because many parts of this site broke on IE 7 Beta 1.

But I'm sure you all know IE 7 has since shipped since last week and I took the plunge and installed it! All I can proudly say this release rocks! You can definitely upgrade to IE 7 with confidence especially if you blog regularly on theSpoke. theSpoke works with IE 7!

Not just that you can continue blogging on your fav site, IE 7 provides a safer browsing experince and better UI than Firefox 2 (eg A new tab is always available on IE, no more File -> New Tab or Ctrl + T and I love the new Favourites layout. Much easier to manager!)

The new tab button can be restored by going to View -> Toolbars -> Customize and dragging the button back on to the toolbar.

I personally don't understand why they took it away, especially when you have a few tabs open and its hard to find empty space on the tab bar to double-click.

The quick tabs feature on IE7 and favourites is good, so much that I've installed a firefox extension (Tab Catalog) to do the same.

Its a shame that IE7 relegated the links toolbar however, took me a while to find it again buried in Tools -> Toolbars -> Links.
