Aborigines fear basic rights loss

INDIGENOUS people are being stripped of citizenship rights as a trade-off for such basic services as roads and schools under the Howard Government's new funding model, two Aboriginal leaders have warned.....

... One example of a shared responsibility agreement was the controversial Mulan hygiene pact. Under the pact, a remote West Australian community received petrol bowsers in return for increased face and hand-washing.

Ber: I think this is very sad article. I left it up to you to make your own opinions. I just think everyone deserves a fair go in life, the question of citizenship should not come into the picture at all. IMHO.
