Reading not blogging
Been busy with other things in life beyond Microsoft.
Thought I would blog in detail but after this afternoon's 40mins+
"wrestling" encounter with this editor control (anyone tried to insert
images using Firefox with this control? It keeps converting my image
absolute path into a relative one! Argh!) and my faulty gallery setup.
Nah! I'm just gonna keep this entry short.
Been doing a lot of thinking and reading on top of other stuff. My
latest read was a gift from Ax, John C. Maxwell - Today Matters: 12
Daily Practices to Guarantee Tomorrow's Success (ISBN: 0446529583).
This book is not a fad. It's a really good one. I encourage you to
check it out in your neighourhood library.
"... Today is the only day that really matters, for today determines the successes of tomorrow.
It all boils down to making good decisions, but determining what
decisions to make is not always easy, so Maxwell has narrowed down the
critical areas of success to 12 of what he calls the "Daily Dozen."
They include such things as maintaining a positive attitude, sticking
to priorities, following healthy guidelines, investing in good
relationships, and managing finances. He has a chapter devoted to each
discipline, with a short worksheet at the end to encourage you and
assist you in your personal daily growth."
One of his 12 areas include "Deepen and live out your spiritual faith". I think it's great to see someone giving the faith dimension a mention!
