For the past few days, I have been having asthma.  I was diagnosed with it about five years ago.  It's not a bad case.  It is normally triggered by some external factor--stress, inclement weather, etc.--or if I'm already sick with something else.  I don't have to take maintenance medication.  I keep meds handy, though, in case I have an attack.

I normally have a bout during this time of year (around start of classes), so I think it's the weather that's causing the attacks.  I've been puffing regularly.  It's bothersome because the meds make me hoarse--difficult when you have to teach. I suppose this year is good because I don't have to present too much in front of classes.
