My good friend and colleague at the Grade School, Mrs. Helen Amante, is setting up a telecollaborative activity between our grade 7 students and three other groups: Ateneo de Zamboanga, a group of evacuees in Cotabato, and high school in Israel.  The theme of the project is peace education.  The students are supposed to share information about the peace and order situation in their respective areas, plus their aspirations for peace.

I am very, very excited about this project.  I introduced the concept of telecollaboration to them during a training seminar two years ago.  It is Mrs. Amante, though, who has driven them to implement it.  She was able to link with Ateneo de Davao last year.  This year, she's expanding the set of collaborators.

The Israeli contact is Dr. Jimmy Backer, a friend of mine from grad school.  I wrote him just two days ago and he responded within 24 hours.  He's very open to participating. 

The project has a lot of potential.  I hope everything works out!
