I spoke to the CS seniors yesterday about possible thesis topics.  One of them, Akie Mejia, mentioned to me that he was the only one who had ever been my student.  A quick scan of the 30-odd faces in the room made me realize he was right.  I guess I never thought about it much because I do know some of them and have chatted with a few.  But Akie is right, he was the only one who was ever my student.
