Our final creative writing assignment is to join an online masquerade.  Each of us will be assigned an anonymous account. At a set time, we will chat with one another using the speech patterns and behavior of a character of your choice.  At the end of the exercise, we will try to guess two things: who the character is and the person behind the mask is. 

In the meantime, we have to choose our characters, real or fictitious, living or dead.  We also have to do some background research on the character's life, with close attention given to his/her speech. 

It has to be someone relatively famous, easily recognizable.  In other words, I can't play my high school Filipino teacher, even though she was quite the character, because no one knows her but me and my classmates.  It has to be someone everyone knows or has heard about.  Someone with a very distinctive way of speaking.
