Is there such a thing as coincidence?  Sometimes, things come together in ways that make you think that there just has to be a bigger design.

A bunch of us from DISCS volunteered to be homeroom advisers for this years Introduction to Ateneo Culture and Tradition.  It's a year-long course designed to help our freshmen survive higher education.

It's a stretch for us.  It's quite unlike our usual subject areas.  The DISCS people are not known for touchy-feely.  But I also believe that the DISCS people have big hearts.  They have a great capacity to care, we're just less demonstrative, I guess.

We make jokes about how we will manage the emotional support aspects of our work, but really we do that because I think we don't want to mess up and possibly hurt our students in the process.  This is going to be a challenge.  Wish us luck!
