Thanks to Punzki and to Alfred for their suggestions. Alfred, I have been considering Scratch ever since you told me about it. I was having problems downloading it initially, and then I got busy, so I put it on the back burner. Yesterday, I finally tried again. I succeeded in downloading it and was able to try it out. You're right--it is a delight!
I showed it to Dr. Vergara, one of our senior faculty members, and he agreed that it is a good platform to use. Thanks so much for pointing me in this direction!

Yesterday, I said something (actually many things) that hurt someone else. These were issues that had been festering for a long time now. While it would have kept the peace to keep my mouth shut, I was so bothered that I had to say what I thought. Of course, the person did not take what I said sitting down. There were words exchanged and I'm sure that the atmosphere with both of us in the room will be awkward for a while. I feel guilty for having hurt this person's feelings. I'm pretty sure there will be repercussions. This person has some powerful allies whom I'm sure will get on my case about what I said.
Consequences aside, though, I feel very relieved.
I think "word vomit" is a good analogy for this process. It's unpleasant, but you feel better afterwards.
