One of my fellow faculty members was the victim of a robbery.  Some men entered her house in the early morning and were going through her things, searching for valuables. Awakened by the noise, my colleague got up and started looking around. She spotted one man and started screaming. Upon hearing her screams, the suspects fled.

Her house is part of a compound where her other in-laws live.  With her in her unit was her mom and her two daughters.  Her husband was out of town. They lost a few things but were physically unharmed--thank God!  She's very shaken, though, and feels unsafe in her own home.
