A teacher of mine once said that you could tell if someone has bad grammar if his/her speech or writing makes you grimace. Call me hypersensitive, but here are some of the things that make me grimace:
Cope up - As in, "I cannot cope up with the workload." Drop the up.
Impacted - As in, "His decision impacted the success of the company." Impact is not a verb. It's a noun that refers to forceful contact. Impacted is an adjective that refers to teeth. What people generally mean when they say that "X impacted Y" is that "X had an effect on Y." Best to say that "X had an impact on Y" or better yet "X helped / hindered Y."
Evactuate - As in, "The people were evacuated." To evacuate is to empty. You empty places, not people.
Sorry, I know this is so trivial, but as I said, these mistakes make me grimace.
