Thanks, everyone, for your good wishes for the open house. It went pretty well. Marc and Bev were very entertaining--they broke the staid, serious talks from us oldies. It's difficult to predict what will happen now. As Fr. Joey Cruz said, though, we don't really care whether these students come to Ateneo or not, but we would hate for them NOT to come because they didn't know enough about it. Ultimately, I think the point of the open house is to give students enough information for them to make an educated decision.

My days in Ateneo have been wall-to-wall meetings. I have very little "quiet time" in my office, time to really focus on work. I need a few hours of each day, just to clear my desk. It's been difficult to clear those hours, so I end up working in the evenings, at home. I am hoping that things taper down a bit because it's all getting very stressful.
