Thank you, Miguel, Aids, Queen, and everyone else who tuned in yesterday and will be tuning in today and in the coming days. The feedback we've received so far has been very positive. Well, there was someone trying to use a dial-up(!) who wasn't too happy...

The GMA 7 tv network sent a news crew to cover the event. The thing is, they came too late--the ceremony had already started. We could not get them up close to the equipment. They had to be satisfied with shots from the back of the gym, plus interviews with Irwin Cruz of CFJ, Mike Solis of MozCom. Oh, yeah, and with me.
The whole news coverage thing caught us completely by surprise. They may come back later today, before the ceremony, I told them, to take footage of the set up and then to get some sound bytes from the grads (ahem, ahem!). Two of GMA 7's reporters are graduating from the MA Journalism program on Saturday. These same reporters were suggesting that the crew come back on Saturday to get footage of them coming up on stage. I don't know, though, if it's worth it for GMA to come three days in a row.
After the excitement from the media visit, we entertained a few spot checks. Fr. Dan MacNamara came to see if things were well. Fr. Joey Cruz called asking why the feed on campus was slow.
Otherwise, it was a calm, quiet evening. Here's to three more of those.
