I was recently offered some new, very interesting work within school. To accommodate these new duties, my superiors have asked me about how they could excuse me from some of my other tasks.
It's rare for someone in Ateneo to worry about how loaded another person is. I guess because we operate so independenly, we manage our own workloads, so no one consciously tries to determine whether we can be given more work or not. It's up to you to say yes or no. So when they asked, I was touched. It's one of those occasions when I felt like, wow, someone is actually looking out for me.
