So we lost.

The Eagles fought valiantly, but at the end of the day, UST bagged the championship with a difference of just two points.

I remember when we lost in 2003, at the mass after the game, Coach Banal stood at the podium and said he was sorry.  From the back, someone shouted, "It's ok!" and the crowd clapped. This brought him to tears.  He said that he would feel better if we cursed him and called him names. But to say that it ok was so touching, it moved him beyond words.

To the Eagles, it's ok, really.  We're proud of the season, of what you were able to accomplish.  Finals are coming up--final exams, that is--and you have to get on with the rest of your life.
