This is really unusual for me, but I've taken a couple of days off from work. My occasional out-of-town trips don't count as time off because I do actually work. In most cases, they're much more hectic than work in school. This time, I've just stayed home.
I've had an unusually long spate of asthma. While it's not bad enough to land me in the hospital (thank God), it interferes with day-to-day life in several ways. One of the side-effects of the meds is hoarseness, which is difficult since a large part of my work entails speaking before people. I also find myself sighing and yawning a lot, not out of an emotional response to anything in particular, but in an attempt to stretch my lungs and breathe. The asthma also leads to fatigue, so I have at the end of the workday I feel very, very tired, more tired than usual.
I have seen a doctor. In fact, I'm planning to see her again today. We'll see what she says.
