One of the lessons I have to keep learning is that articulating an emotional response to any event (no matter how annoying) is almost always wrong. Unless the emotion is positive or constructive, it's best to stay outwardly neutral and save the maelstrom for more private moments.
This week, I loosened the reins on my emotions. It was liberating, but also embarassing, needlessly hurtful, never pretty, and always regrettable. I'm just now coming back down to earth and appreciating that, well, some things can't be undone. Time to play it close to the chest again.
