It blows me away how willing people are to collaborate.  I've touched base with several researchers in Europe and North America over the past few months.  For the most part, people have responded with generosity and kindness.

I recently sent "fan mail" to someone from the University of Kent. I read a paper that he had written and was so interested, I sent some questions.  He replied with an amazing willingness to help us along, if we decide to replicate his work. 

These people really do set an example for the sort of openness and sharing that I can only hope to emulate.
