The good news just keeps on coming!
Doc Mana sent a message saying that the Ateneo team composed of Allan Espinosa (5ECE), Wilhansen Li (1CS), and Thomas Dy (1CS) won the InterC Programming Competition hosted by De La Salle University! There were only three teams in the competition. One university had backed out at the last minute. The Ateneo team only solved one problem:
Check if a string like S=aabbcc is a substring of the larger string T = xxaayybbzzccww (in this case, it is considered a substring).
But we still won!
Allan is, of course, one-third of our ACM World Finals Team, so perhaps it comes as no surprise that we kicked butt. However, I must point out that Wil and Thomas are our next secret weapons--and they're only freshmen!
Congratulations to Allan, Wil, Thomas, and Doc Mana! Great job!
