Some people wear non-conformity like a badge of independent-mindedness, of bravery, of defiance.  Sometimes, though, the greater majority's disapproval means something. The majority is not always right, but it's not always wrong, either.  The challenge is conformity vs. non-conformity but rather doing what you believe you should for your own reasons.
