Practicum Interview
The interview I'm supposed to have at Siemens 2pm this afternoon proceeded as planned and turned out quite well. I was there by the way because I am applying for an On-the-Job training/practicum for this summer (April and May 2005)
I was first by an HR personnel/manager regarding my availability, skills and stuffs, and was given a brief introduction of the two positions they were offering me which is 1) inclined with process documentation and 2) desktop administration, support and troubleshooting. Of course, I chose the 2nd option. I was told to wait because she was going to pass me right ahead to their Network Administrator for another interview. Unfortunately, I think the netad wasn't available and I was interviewed instead by a Network Specialist from the same department. He went into my resume and just asked and confirmed me a few information written on it. Then he asked for my availability if in case I will be given a chance to have my practicum there.
Afterwards, I was turned back into the HR department personnel who interviewed me earlier and was given a "Welcome to Siemens!" greeting. They asked me if I'm still applying for practicum from other companies and told me that if I want, I could report the soonest time I am available. I felt happy with the "fast" result considering everything happened in under an hour.
Take care Spokedom!
