Well, finally got out of development and I'm now training for UNIX (ok now don't shoot me... it's the company's decision and requirement...), well it's the first day of training and I'm already having a hard time controlling my emotions, why? the instructor (hmm... more of a facilitator...) keeps on giving "witty (?!?)comments" on Microsoft's OS branding it as "Other Operating System out there" and making a snob after that... I just want to grab him knock his head off on a wall!!! grrr....
Don't get me wrong, I been longing to learn UNIX for a long time (again don't shoot me... please), because I want to have more tools at my disposal. But I want to learn in a neutral manner, I mean want to learn without the angst, the prejudice, none of the Open Source Hype... I want to learn in a non-hostile ground... He just keeps on nuking MS for God's sake! Aside from that I remember a post from a thread in the forum we have when I was teaching (yeah, from those of you who didn't know, I used to be an instructor.. a year at that... and yes I missed it so much, Ms J any load you could give me, hehehehe! ), It's about a phrase that you're teacher/instructor keeps on using, well our instructor/facilitator keeps on using "effectively", yes he keeps on using it even if it is not needed, and yes he is "effectively" freaking me out!!! I'm gonna put out a counter on how many times this dude uses the freaking word....
3 days of this.... waahhh!!!! I rather go back to development... more news tom... probably later if I get annoyed again... geezzz! Ciao for now
