Bank Holidays and Running Water

I like Bank Holidays. Every now and then in Britain we have a Monday off when the banks are shut. Just about everything else is working in full swing, shops, pubs etc etc but the banks are closed so we can't go to work. Lovely. The snag is that we don't get another one until the end of August. The weather has been kind to us as well. In spite of dire warnings about rain and stuff we have had a thoroughly nice day.

On Saturday we bought this solar powered water feature thing which even worked for a few hours before the sun went behind a tree. It adds the peaceful sound of running water to our garden (although I suppose we could have got the effect a lot more cheaply by opening the kitchen window and leaving a tap on).

It is a holiday in the US too. My wife and I spent most of the day working in out garden. We are lucky enough to have a little stream running through our property. It will be dry in a couple of months (probably) but for now it makes a nice running water sound 24 hours a day.
