The Humber Bridge is impressive. The Longhorn demo was impressive. But sorry folks, I've just bought something which I think beats both. It cost 13 english pounds. And it is a toy. And it is completely amazing.
It is a ball around the size of a baseball. You think of something. It asks you twenty questions about it. And then it tells you what you were thinking. Straight out of the box it got bike. Then it got hamster and guniea pig. It thought a muffin was a doughnut (which is fair enough I suppose). Then it got rubber duck and lava lamp. It thought wine was cologne. But it got nail varnish. The biggest mistake it has made so far is thinking that a goldfish was actually a picture comic. But remember, this is just a toy.
Apparently it uses neural nets to take the answers from the questions it asks and map them onto the object in question. People, you have got to see this thing. You can play on line
here. But I would strongly advise you to get one of your own. If this technology starts being deployed into everyday life things are going to get very interesting. And now I'm going to play with it some more....
