Sequel Server

I got to thinking about "Legally Blonde II" again. I'll probably watch it. And probably enjoy it. When you reach my advanced age you don't particularly want anything challenging or which holds the potential for an unhappy ending (although this might of course just be me).

In these respects I reckon I'm pretty safe with a Reese (or Reece, or Reise) Witherspoon movie. Ttalking of silly names; in Firefly - which I love - all the female actresses have the most strange first names including Jewel, Morena and Summer. I suppose it is one way to get ahead.

Anyhoo, the first Legally Blonde movie was a success, so there was a commercial imperative to make a sequel. And so we sat around for a while thinking of titles for movies which just cannot/should be made as sequels:

Romeo and Julliet II - unlikely

The Day After the Day After Tomorrow - probably not

And - controversially - Star Wars II (although I seem to remember George having a go at that one......)

How bout Romeo and Juliet - Reunited: Turns out the whole thing was just a fake to try and get the families to make nice. However, turns out Juliet ended up with a real dagger. CSI investigates and Balthasar and the Friar remain prime suspects.

Talk about a bummer ending - I just saw "Troy" last night. And it didn't help at all knowing how it would all end up (actually, I ended learning even more, as I saw the movie with a history professor). Typical Greeks: everybody dies in the end. Well, basically everybody.

I'll drink to that. The only one who walks (hobbles..) away alive at the end is Paris. And he is the buffoon who started it all. And I wouldn't go to a Troy sequel - even if it was posible. As for your idea Ogman, you should make that into a pitch!
