Water From Sky

It sure has rained a lot over the last few days. On Sunday we just about had an underwater BBQ (although it was great fun). Yesterday evening I wandered round and watered all the plants very carefully. Then I was woken up in the night by a proper cloudburst. At first the rain seemed like a necessary thing, we have not had much lately. But today I think nature went a bit too far. The whole of Wimbledon was rained off, which must be a pain if you've actually got tickets.

Talking of water. Wonderfalls. We've been watching this for the last couple of nights. Just don't ask me how. Anyhoo, very funny, very original and very cancelled. We are back with our old friends at Fox, who like commissioning original, well made material just so they can junk it mid-season. I'm working up a conspiricy theory thing here where they make 13 or so episodes, show 6 of them, cancel the show and then allow themselves to be persuaded to sell profitable DVD sets to the thousands of disgruntled fans.

This is one of the ways in which british TV is a bit better than the US, although over here a full series is quite often only six episodes anyway.

As for the program itself, I guess you have to watch it to understand it. It is just your average "disgruntled Niagra falls souvenir shop assistant solving problems for other people when told to by talking statues" kind of program. But very well made. Watch it if you can.
