Paul (one of our .NET MSc students) came in today and showed me some stuff he is working on with the WMI Server Extensions for Visual Studio. People, this is seriously strong magic. You can download the add-in
here. It lets you do a shed load of things with your machine (and it is a very large shed folks). These include all kind of system management tasks and even things like detecting when your WIFI device moves from one access point to another (which is what Paul wants to use it for). I'm going to have some fun with this when I get back from TechEd in Amsterdam.
