Holiday. Yay! Today is my last day at work for a fortnight (except for an exam board at Doncaster on Wed. next week). I hope I've left things on an even keel, and I will be checking my email and writing my blog as usual (but only because I'd feel bad not doing those things).

Anyhoo, it will be nice to get away from the office for a while. We are having a few days in London later on which will be even nicer.

We even got our bikes out yesterday and pumped up the tyres, although whether or not we'll ride them anywhere remains to be seen. One of the many nice things about where we live is lots of villages with nice pubs are well within cycling distance. Although you do have to be careful. I remember many years ago a friend of mine pedalling home after a particularly momentous party and being arrested by the local constabulary and charged with "Drunk in charge of a pushbike".  I think I'll probably stick to coke. But the ride will do me good. And there is beer in the fridge when I get home...
