I really should get out more. By that I mean that I should set aside time just to wander around the internet and follow links and stuff. Most of the time I just do things so the number of sites I visit can be counted on the fingers of one leg. But today I just had a browse around and fell over something I really should have known about and been using for ages. I feel quite guilty for not knowing about this one.
Take a look at
Channel9. It is a very nice resource which give access to videos about all kinds of neat Microsoft tidbits. The one that I found most interesting was about about an internal
Robot Building Club at Microsoft. We are building up our computer club at the university next semester, and some activity like this would be great fun. And I could take Digby, my pet Aibo, along as well. I've had a Lego Mindstorms for ages, and even based quite a few student projects on them, and so this is stuff aimed right where I live.
There are lots of other videos about internal Microsoft stuff which look very interesting too. If you have a fast network connection I'd advise you to get along and sign up so you can comment on the videos and talk to the people in them. This site is going into my bookmarks as a good place to wander during my lunch breaks at work.
