I had to buy a new Smartphone today. Of course, I didn't want to, but I made the sacrifice in the cause of making sure that all my
Cheese Programming articles will work on the latest technology. I saw the thing in the Orange shop (I'd just popped in there to borrow a cup of sugar and they insisted in showing me the latest Smartphone) and when I saw it I had to have one. I've been reccommending Smartphones to programmer friends for ages because if you want to get into programming phones they are great fun.
However, I've not been reccommending Smartphones to people who just want phones for two reasons:
- They are a tad expensive.
- They are not as well developed as phones compared to ones from people like Nokia and Sony who have been making them for a long time.
That has changed now. The C500 is just a great phone which happens to be a Smartphone. It is small, beautifully put together and goes like a rocket. It is also very competitively priced. And I can't wait to get some cheese bouncing around inside it....
