Anchorman
So, tonight the review of Anchorman which I saw last night and should be there in place of the Thursday question which should be here. Oh well. Term has started and thing are a bit busy at the moment.
Anchorman is not as good as Dodgeball. It is not even in the same county if the county is called "really funny film". Anchorman is in the county called "has some funny moments but the star and cast look as if they are enjoying it a bit to much and the ideas are spread rather thin". Will Ferrell is OK as the voice of Channel 4 news and the period stuff is very well done. But they dip into and out of surreal stuff in a way that I don't think quite works and I didn't really have the same sympathy for the characters that I had in Dodgeball. (gosh, do I sound like a real reviewer or what here?).
So, to sum up. I'll buy the DVD of Dodgeball when it is released. I'll probably watch Anchorman when it comes round on the telly. And that's that.
