Happiness from cheap cable

Did something today that I've not done before. Bought a cheap cable and connected my computer into the HiFi in my room. Up until now I've just used a pair of speakers on the output of my soundcard. They have a subwoofer thingy and, up until now, I've been quite happy with their sound.

Cor blimey. What a difference. I use Napster on subscription, which now means that I now have a record collection as big as theirs. And it all sounds fantastic to my, admittedly middle aged, ears.

As usual when I do something like this I'm torn between "Pleased that I it works this well" and "Annoyed that I didn't do it sooner".

And we are definitely going to get a Media PC downstairs for the big system if they sound as good as this......

Currently listening to Anita Baker; "My Everything". By gum it's good....
