Bridget Jones

Just got back from seeing "Bridget Jones, the Edge of Reason". I wasn't that keen on going to see it. I have somewhat unhappy memories of being the only bloke in the cinema when we went to see the preceding film. I'd heard that it was an OK kind of thing, but I rate it better than that. Rene hard to spell was outstanding in the title role and was well backed by the two male leads. Although Hugh Grant still managed to steal every scene he was in. As for the story, there was more than I expected and the different aspects of the characters were better developed than I'd reckoned on.

All things considered, a good evening out. And this time I counted at least five other males in the packed cinema.

I just saw it as well. I also liked it a lot more than I thought I would, given the reviews. Thing is, the plot was ridiculous. But the actors make the movie so entertaining, you wave the bad plot away. Colin Firth is sooooo dreamy! I get all wiggly just typing about him. Sad, isn't it? Grown women are not supposed to be that way. I liked the way it didn't end with their wedding. Although, I suppose that sets them up for a potential sequel doesn't it? I can see a whole Jones/Darcy wedding movie . . .
