Shoot Me Now
I set some questions for the Postgrad Party Quiz which I've just got back from. I thought it would be neat to ask the question:
"Name the London Underground station whose name does not contain any letters from the word 'mackeral'" (the answer is St. John's Wood by the way).
I thought this would be a diverting question to ask, which would promote entertaining discourse amongst those present.
But I got the name of the fish wrong. I asked them to give the station whose name does not contain any of the letters in "haddock".
Big mistake. Make the question much easier. But my answer now looks a little incorrect.....
Ho hum. I tell people that before they submit things they should look for spelling errors and perform a "sanity check" on what they are doing to make sure that it is not stupid.
Oh well.
