Is it OK to get excited about technology? I'm really excited about the new embedded .NET devices which are just being launched:

I want one to play with. I was the same about the Smartphone, the Playstation (1 and 2) the XBOX and the BBC machine. With a bit of luck I'll have one soon - hopefully before christmas. I think that this is a really major development in the application of computers. Presently it takes a lot of work and messing around to get a program into an embedded device. And you usually end up using a sawn off version of a language with lots of, shall we say, foibles.

This should make it as easy as writing a PC application. Which will be very interesting.
