Scary Broken Internet

Our home internet connection has just come back from being broken. What a scary experience. Number one son had some stuff he wanted to fetch. Number one daughter had to send an email to someone who was going away tomorrow. Me, I wanted to check some emails and update the blogs.

Fingers were pointed, voices were raised. In the nick of time the service came back. Our broadband connection, which is now around two and a half years old, is a big part of our lives now. In fact I'm sure that number one son, given the choice between internet and telly, would go for internet. Actually, having seen what is being presented as the "special TV schedule for christmas", I'd be with him on that....

What goes for Christmas TV specials in the UK? I finally gave up on tv and bought my favorites on DVD. "White Christmas" "Holiday Inn" "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and of course, "A Christmas Carol," the original 1951 Alistair Sim version. You stike me as a knowing gamer. I bought my brother a game called Fatal Frame II. Have you heard of it?

TV holidays in the UK involve "special" versions of things that you'd never ordinarily watch and films you saw on DVD 18 months ago. And that is about it. I like your taste in films. If you like Alistair Sim you should track down some St. Trinian movies. As for Fatal Frame II, I'd not heard of it before. I thought it might be a kind of dangerous snooker, but it turns out to be a scary type of Silent Hill thing. I don't tend to play those 'cos they give me nightmares.
