I've got a digital radio. (my wife reckons that if there was a digital toothbrush I'd get that too). They are jolly good, but the sound quality is not as wonderful as they might have you believe. But the things I listen to don't have ultra high quality anyway because I like BBC 7. It is an eclectic mix of old comedy, radio plays and sci-fi stuff, mostly pulled from the BBC archives. You can even get it via the internet from
http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbc7/Take a listen. I *love* radio drama and they broadcast things like Agatha Cristie murder mysteries:
(BANG! - sound of body falling to floor dead)
Vicar: "Oh my goodness, someone's shot Mrs. Patterson.."
Miss Maple: "Yes, and I think I know who did it"
(BANG! - sound of Miss Maple falling to floor dead)
- well, perhaps not like that, but darned good fun anyway.
