Does everything need to be centred?

Just made up some draft flyers for a conference thingy I'm organising (more later). I looked away from them and then looked back and I noticed that the text and the logo aren't quite centred. I can see why, the design kind of dictates this. But it is now beginning to worry me a bit. So, do things have to be centred? Is it best if they aren't centred? Please advise. I'm going to bed now (23:05) and I'd like all your thoughts in the morning...

follow the rule of 3rds, where the main points of attention are halfway from the centre of the page, at the 10,2,4,8 o clock positions. applies to photography as well.

Thanks folks. I got myself into a happy place where it is nearly centred and I can live with it. And the rule of thirds is a very good idea when taking pictures. In fact the Microsoft Image editor has them built in when you use the crop tool.
