Media Conversion Magic

You've got number one son to thank for this one. I've been trying to convert some media files to play on my Portable Media Centre. Whilst I can play them on the PC; when I try to transfer the using Media Centre it seems to reject the files and just transfers a tiny stub. I thought it was impossible. Until number one son suggested trying Windows Movie Maker. This is quite a nice video editing program which comes free with just about all versions of Windows. We opened a source file using the program and then rendered the output for full screen Pocket PC. Worked a treat. So if you need to convert video files for your PMC and Media Player won't play ball, now you know how to do it.

Windows Movie Maker is a handy thing actually. I use it to shrink films for my Smartphone. Does the job rather well - the fact it's free makes it even better!!
