Well, I've been a very busy chap over the last few days. We had the Slide5 conference on Monday at Microsoft Thames Valley Park campus in Reading. We had over 70 keen students turn up and get the goods on how to develop for mobile platforms. Everything went swimmingly. I was kind of relieved, it is the first conference I've ever run like this.
I've been reading the new Harry Potter story, and in it they use a potion which makes you lucky for a short while. I think I got a dose on Monday. All the talks were well received. Rory Blyth was ace. The food and accommodation were great. A good time was had by all. I even found a parking space for the 17 seater minibus when we went down to the pub after the day was over. And the pub was excellent - although I wasn't allowed to drink the beer 'cos I was driving and lemonade was two pounds and thirty pence for a pint. Wow!
I've put some pictures and notes about the day on
www.slide5.com and I'm going to set up a little community for the "Slide5'ers" once I get Sharepoint figured out. Andy Sithers reckons we should start planning for the next one. Slide6 anyone?
