Hello Vista
I spent a big chunk of Sunday afternoon loading Vista onto my Tablet PC. I had to re-partition the hard disk first to make space, and now I can dual boot into the shiny new operating system (a tip - if you need to do this the UK Magazine Computer Shopper is presently giving away a free copy of Paragon Partition Manager 2005 on the cover - which is very good at moving the partitions around).
First impressions are that Vista is pretty solid. It found all my Tablet PC drivers and everything works. The only sad thing is that I'm not getting the "Aero Glass" stuff because I don't think the graphics adapter has quite enough memory to cope with it. Nothing bad has happened yet, but I'm going to have to reload a few applications before I can say conclusively that all is well. When I get that far I'm going to convert the entire tablet over to Vista and make it the place that I live in.
I've also installed the Tablet PC upgrades as well and these are really nice. The text input panel seems a lot nicer, and I'm looking forward to using Office and with it.
