Fun Reporting Bugs

Today I took my life in my hands and posted my first bug report on Vista. I thought long and hard about it before I said anything, but in the end I thought it worth doing. The issue isn't a Vista one, it is an IE7 one. The problem is this:

"I love the way that when you start to type a URL into the address bar you get a drop down list of matching addresses which you can pick from. I don't love the way that when I mistype a name (www.microsfot.com) for example, it fails to go to the correct site and them remembers the shortcut for ever, making this feature much less useful to a bad typits like me. I suggest that some way be added to easily remove badly typed links."

It took me a little while to figure out how to post bugs, but now mine is out there and I've got two views and two votes. This is quite fun. And I really love the thought that something in the software might change because of little old me.
